A Spooktacular Week in the Library

In anticipation of next week's holiday, we have been enjoying great Halloween read alouds in the library. There are so many wonderful stories that are great to share at this time of year! The 5th and 6th grade students are hearing selections from different anthologies of ghost stories. The younger students are hearing more humorous Halloween tales. Porkenstein by Kathryn Lasky is a big hit with 2nd graders, and the 1st graders really enjoy the Chris Gall's newly published book, The Substitute Creacher. There are many more great Halloween books out there that will make you howl. Enjoy one at home!
