Dear 4th Graders,
You are beginning your famous Mainer project this week! As you can see from the image above, you are going to go through LOTS of steps in order to successfully complete this research process. Today I will talk to you about the research process and help you start your research. Here are our learning targets:

• I can explain the first 3 steps in the Big 6 research model.
• I can use the library to search for research material on my famous Mainer.
• I can locate a research book on the shelves.
• No book?! I can look in an encyclopedia for my famous Mainer.
